Mitek Systems, which has drawn interest from banks and analysts for its check-image capture software for mobile devices, has ramped up a version of its ImageNet software for the popular Apple iPhone.
Mitek drew attention from banks and analysts earlier this year when it launched the new application as a potential small-business/mobile-professional service, by turning the common phone camera into a remote-capture device.
The program works by customers entering deposit information through the downloaded application, then photographing the front and back of a check for a remote deposit. It meets all Check 21 acceptable image requirements through the image preprocessing standards.
