ModaSolutions Corp. of Kanata, Ontario, said it has added a buyer protection program to its Secure-eBill product for electronic payments.

The software, which has been renamed eBillme, allows consumers to send payments to online merchants by initiating transactions through a bank's Web site.
Merchants that support eBillme send customers an invoice that customers use to set up that merchant as an online bill payment recipient.
ModaSolutions announced the addition of the buyer protection component of its product Monday. The component is meant to prevent loss, theft, and shipping delays.
