Monarch of Virginia Repays $15M of Tarp

The Treasury Department said Friday that Monarch Financial Holdings Inc. repurchased $260,000 in stock warrants, clearing the company's slate with the government.

Monarch, based in Chesapeake, Va., received federal financial assistance under the Treasury's Troubled Asset Relief Program but has since fully repaid the $14.7 million.

The Friday transaction report also recognized the $7.6 billion that PNC Financial Services Group Inc. of Pittsburgh repaid in Tarp funds.
