Pacific Western Bank in Los Angeles has hired Linda Nahra, the former chief executive at Community West Bank in Goleta, Calif., as a regional president.
Community West announced Nahra's resignation last month, but said only that she was leaving for personal reasons. Her last day was July 29.
On Tuesday, the $5.4 billion-asset Pacific Western, a unit of PacWest Bancorp Inc., said that Nahra would run its Central Coast region, which has a dozen branches in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Nahra has 30 years of banking experience in California and had been with Community West since 1997.
"We understand that the Central Coast is different than Los Angeles, and having a seasoned local banker and community leader like Lynda to head the region will further strengthen our presence," said Jared Wolff, the president of Pacific Western's Los Angeles region and acting president of Central Coast region.
