CLEVELAND - National City Bank said it has first office dedicated to trust and private banking services.
The office, in Chagrin Falls, makes it unnecessary for customers to have to travel to the main downtown Cleveland office.
The Chagrin Falls office will be staffed by vice presidents Marianne H. Gymer, who has been with the bank eight years, and Janice C. Gift, who recently moved to the National City Corp. unit from Society National Bank.
The Cleveland-based bank is projecting steady growth in net interest income even as credit losses remain manageable. But Chairman and CEO Chris Gorman also said that he thinks a recession is likely.
The first-quarter increase involved commercial real estate loans, including some problematic multifamily loans and an office credit, but none of the criticized loans were to consumers, officials at the Dallas company say. Further CRE deterioration is anticipated.
