Natwest Global Financial Markets in New York has promoted senior vice president Garry Popofsky to managing director.
Mr. Popofsky, 41, is head of sales and marketing for the North American region.
The Natwest Group division hired him for that newly created job in February. He reports to Peter Nielson, managing director and global head of sales.
Mr. Popofsky was head of sales at Lehman Brothers' foreign exchange business and a senior vice president. Earlier he was a vice president of foreign exchange sales at Goldman Sachs. Still earlier he was a vice president at Salmon Brothers.
Natwest Global Financial Markets provides treasury, foreign exchange, and interest rate management products, as well as currency structured derivatives, to corporate and institutional clients.
