NCR Adds to University Land Donation

NCR Corp. has said it plans to donate its remaining rights to a 50-acre parcel to the University of Dayton, the university announced.

The Dayton, Ohio, automated teller machine company sold the land to the university in 2005 but held on to participation rights for its commercial development. The university said Tuesday that gifting those rights, which it valued at $5 million, allows the university more flexibility to develop the land.

NCR also has said it is cutting some employee benefits, including a travel program and reducing its employee savings match, according to a Dec. 30 report in the Dayton Business Journal that cited an employee memo. An NCR spokesman declined to comment Wednesday.
