Toronto-Dominion Bank's TD Asset Management Inc. of Toronto launched two funds and added series extensions for three other funds Tuesday.
The TD Global Sustainability Fund invests in companies that use a sustainable approach to building thriving businesses, as well as companies that are developing ways to address environmental problems.
The TD Canadian Core Plus Bond Fund gives investors access to worldwide alternatives by investing primarily in Canadian investment grade bonds. It also invests in global fixed-income investments.
The series extensions allow for more funds to be offered in the H, T and S-Series units, which are designed for a higher distribution monthly payout than other series units of the funds. The extensions also add to the tax-efficient product choices in the TD Mutual Funds lineup.
TD Asset Management, which had $55.1 billion of assets under management as of July 31, manages retail mutual fund assets on behalf of more than 1.4 million investors. The funds are available at TD Canada Trust branches, TD Waterhouse Discount Brokerage, financial planning and private investment advisers, investment dealers, and independent brokers.
