New Jersey Community Bank's Chief Retiring

New Jersey Community Bank in Freehold is looking for a new chief executive.

The $129 million-asset bank said in a press release Thursday that Robert O'Donnell will remain its chairman even though he is retiring as CEO.

William Placke, a director, will serve as interim president and CEO. The bank said it had created a search committee and is working with an executive search firm to find a permanent replacement for O'Donnell.

Placke has more than 47 years experience in the banking industry. The company said Placke has served as president and chief executive of two community financial institutions.
