First Financial Bankshares Inc. in Abilene announced Monday that it has changed the name of its $127 million-asset First National Bank of Sweetwater to First Financial Bank.
The $3 billion-asset holding company has been renaming its 10 subsidiaries. The Sweetwater unit is the seventh that has been changed to include "First Financial" in its name. In July the company renamed its Mineral Wells subsidiary, and in 2005 its banks in Eastland, Stephenville, Southlake, and Abilene were renamed. Its Cleburne bank got a new name in 2000.
First Financial Bankshares plans to keep the subsidiaries separate but allow customers to use any of the company’s banks.
