New York Fed Names Directors

Jeffrey Kindler, the chairman and chief executive of Pfizer Inc., and James Tisch, the chairman and chief executive of Loews Corp., were named to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's board of directors Thursday.

Both directors were nominated by members of the New York Fed to represent the public interest.

Kindler is filling a seat whose term will expire Dec. 31 and Tisch's term will end a year later.

Prior to running Pfizer, Kindler was an executive vice president and general counsel for McDonald's Corp. and a vice president of litigation and legal policy at General Electric Corp. Tisch has worked at Loews since 1977.
