New York Life Unit Adds Managing Director

New York Life Investment Management LLC, a New York Life Insurance Co. subsidiary, hired Jack Benintende as a managing director.

Mr. Benintende was a vice president and assistant treasurer of mutual funds at Prudential Investments of Newark, N.J. Previously he was a senior manager in the investment management services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

He will head New York Life Investment Management's fund accounting and oversight group and will be the treasurer for the company's proprietary mutual fund family, the MainStay Funds Group, which has $35 billion of assets under management as of April 30.

New York Life Investment Management, which announced the hiring Tuesday, had a total of $243 billion of assets under management.
