Northern Trust Global Investments, a London unit of Northern Trust Corp. of Chicago, named Kevin Hardy as a managing director of international sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa region, and the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Hardy has worked for the subsidiary since 2003. He started as head of transition management, Europe, and became the global head of transition management in 2004.
Northern Trust Global Investments also promoted Grant Johnsey, to head of transition management in North America, and Simon Hutchinson, to head of international transition management. Both men had been senior transition management strategists, and both joined the company in 2004.
The firm announced the promotions Thursday.
