OBA Sells D.C. Branch to Maryland's Eagle

Eagle Bancorp Inc. of Bethesda, Md., on Monday agreed to acquire a Washington branch along with $17.2 million in deposits from OBA Bank.

Eagle's banking subsidiary, EagleBank, has $1.9 billion of assets and 13 branches, five of which are in Washington. The branch being sold is the only one in the city for the $374.3 million-asset OBA, a federal savings bank in Germantown, Md.
