The banking technology vendor S1 Corp. of Atlanta has added Edward Terino, the chief executive of Arlington Tankers Ltd. of Westport, Conn., to its board.

Mr. Terino, who is also the chief financial officer of the crude oil and petroleum transporter, has been the chief financial officer for several technology companies, including Art Technology Group Inc., a customer service software provider, and Applix Inc., which sells business intelligence software.
John W. Spiegel, S1's chairman, said Monday in a press release that Mr. Terino's "extensive experience as the chief financial officer of public software companies … makes him an excellent addition to our board."
