Panini Remote Deposit Capture System Now Mac-Compatible

Panini SpA said Tuesday that its remote deposit capture system now works with Apple Inc. Mac computers.

The system allows merchants to deposit checks through a computer scanner. The Italian vendor said it added Mac support to serve the growing number of desktop computers that run Apple's operating system. Panini said it would soon announce new customers for its RDC system on Mac.

"Our customers and partners have been asking for a Mac-supported RDC solution," Michael Pratt, Panini's chief marketing officer, said in a press release. "There are a significant number of Mac-based small businesses and consumers that, until now, haven't been able to take advantage of RDC … we took on the responsibility to respond to industry demand."
