PerkStreet Financial said Wednesday that it had named PayPal Inc. president Scott Thompson to its board.
With more than 25 years of experience in payments and financial services, Thompson has been head of the eBay Inc. unit since 2008. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president and chief technology officer at PayPal, overseeing its infrastructure and product development.
Thompson has also served as executive vice president of technology solutions at Inovant, a subsidiary of Visa Inc. There he ran VisaNet, a platform for Visa transactions.
PerkStreet, a financial services company, offers MasterCard Inc. financial products through a checking account rewards program.
