Pennsylvania's Susquehanna to Purchase Adviser

Susquehanna Bancshares Inc. of Lititz, Pa., has agreed to buy the Radnor investment advisory firm Widmann, Siff & Co. Inc.

Founded in 1970, Widmann, Siff has more than $300 million of assets under management, including accounts serving individuals, pension and profit-sharing plans, corporations, and family trusts. It would become a subsidiary of Susquehanna Wealth Management's Valley Forge Asset Management Corp.

The deal, announced Monday, is expected to close at the end of the quarter. Buying Widmann, Siff, would raise Susquehanna Wealth Management's assets under management and administration to about $5.4 billion.

Susquehanna Bancshares has $8.2 billion of assets.
