PNC Appoints Former NFL Exec to Its Board

PNC Financial Services in Pittsburgh has appointed a former brand executive for the National Football League to its board.

Marjorie Rodgers Cheshire currently serves as president and chief operating officer of A&R Companies, a real estate development firm in Baltimore and Washington. Before joining A&R, she worked for the NFL as a senior director of brand and consumer marketing. She is also a former vice president for business development at Oxygen Media.

PNC Chairman and Chief Executive William Demchak praised Cheshire's "depth and variety of experience" in a press release Thursday, adding that her "insights will benefit PNC as we work to build our franchise in key markets."

Her appointment at the $316 billion-asset company takes effect immediately.
