Blackhawk Network is expanding the sale of its prepaid cards to Mexico by putting its Gift Card Mall displays in hundreds of Office Depot and Comercial Mexicana stores.
Blackhawk Network, a subsidiary of the grocery chain Safeway Inc., said retailers whose cards will be featured in the displays include Apple Inc.'s iTunes, Cinemax, Smartbox, Chili's, todito Card and Xbox Live.
"By bringing Gift Card Mall to Mexico we are meeting the consumer's demand for prepaid products," Dan Dmochowski, the international president of Blackhawk Network, said in a press release Tuesday. "We've brought the most popular brands to one location so consumers now have the convenience of a one-stop shop for all their gifting and prepaid needs."
Gift Card Malls are staples of Blackhawk Network displays in grocery, drug and convenience stores.
