Professional Business Bank in Pasadena, Calif., has hired a former Citigroup Inc. executive as its chief credit officer.
In addition to a stint at Citi, Michael Tyminski most recently was a senior vice president at City National Bank. Tyminski also helped form Wedbush Bank in Los Angeles in 2008 as its chief credit officer and executive vice president.
On Dec. 31, the $317 million-asset bank bought the $281 million-asset California General Bank.
The acquisition was aided by a capital injection from Carpenter Community BancFunds, the sole shareholder of California General's holding company.
