The Vancouver, British Columbia, e-commerce payment processor LML Payment Systems Inc. has acquired Beanstreet Internet Commerce Inc. of Victoria to expand its transaction processing capabilities.

Beanstreet handled about 1.5 million transactions a month.
LML said the purchase was aimed at adding both Beanstreet's transaction volume and processing capabilities and would help expand its credit card, funds transfer, and automated clearing house services, as well as its authentication technology.
