Rates mixed in Treasury bill auctions.

WASHINGTON - The Treasury sold $25.42 billion of 91-day and 182-day bills at mixed rates yesterday. The three-months incurred an average rate of 4.23%, from 4.22% in the previous auction on May 9. The six-months incurred a 4.63% rate, down from 4.69%.

Coupon equivalents were 4.33% for the three-months and 4.81% for the six-months.

Tenders for the 91s totaled $53.69 billion, and the Treasury accepted $12.78 billion, including $1.41 billion of noncompetitive bids accepted at the average.

Tenders for the 182s totaled $53.82 billion, and the Treasury accepted $12.64 billion, including $1.2 billion of noncompetitive bids accepted at the average.
