Regions Financial Corp. said Thursday that it is offering a set of fraud detection and identity protection services to its customers for $5 a month.
The services are offered under the Regions IdentityProtect brand and include credit monitoring, real-time transaction monitoring for up to 10 payment cards, and up to $2,500 in identity theft insurance.
The card-monitoring service alerts consumers of potentially fraudulent activity within 24 hours of its occurrence. The insurance covers expenses incurred by consumers when resolving an incident of identity theft.
"Regions IdentityProtect complements our existing safeguards against fraud and offers customers peace of mind by making identity theft protection simple," Scott Peters, Regions' chief marketing officer, said in a press release.
