Regulation DD

Regulation DD - [12 CFR 230 - Truth in Savings] - implements the Truth in Savings Act. Prescribes the types of disclosures that must be made available on deposit accounts offered to consumers. The disclosures must be made available upon request, and at the time of account opening. If an account requires a periodic disclosure, it also directs that certain disclosures appear on that statement. On time deposits, additional disclosures are required. There are guidelines for advertisements, and prohibitions against false or misleading advertisements.
