Rockwall of Texas Names Eric Anderson CEO

Rockwall Bancshares Inc., a Texas-based start-up, has hired Eric Anderson as its chief executive officer.

Anderson, a 27-year banking veteran, was previously with American National Bank of Texas, where he served as banking center president for its operations in the city of Rowlett. Prior to that, he was a market president for JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Rockwall’s president and co-founder Kevin Fowler is also a former commercial lender at the $1.9 billion-asset American National.

At Rockwall Bancshares, Anderson’s first priority is working with Fowler to complete its planned acquisition of the $46 million-asset First National Bank of Chillicothe in Texas. The company has said it plans to leave the Chillicothe operations and management as is, but use the charter to expand into Rockwall, a suburb of Dallas. The Rockwall operations would be branded as Victory Bank. The company wants to complete the transaction by year-end and open the new branch by early next year.
