Roundup: SEC Approves Merger of Two PNC Units

PITTSBURGH - The Comptroller's office has approved the merger of two PNC Bank Corp. subsidiaries.

PNC Bank Ohio, and PNC Bank Northern Kentucky have combined charters effective May 30. The bank said the merger means that all 56 branches in metropolitan Cincinnati can now perform any transaction for any bank customer no matter where individual accounts originated.

Stephen C. Schatteman will continue as president of the northern Kentucky division, which will retain its own board of directors.
