Santa Monica's First Federal Names Three Vice Presidents

First Federal Bank of California in Santa Monica, a subsidiary of Firstfed Financial Corp., has hired two executives-Maree Mitchell and Stephen Bozer-to be vice presidents and promoted a third, Tamara Collins, to that rank.

Ms. Mitchell was hired from Washington Mutual Inc.'s Home Savings of America, where she was a vice president and group sales manager, to manage retail sales support. She will head the sales training and incentive and client services programs.

She has 15 years of sales management experience, including before Home Savings a stint at First Interstate Bank in Fullerton, Calif.

Mr. Bozer was named wholesale residential lending manager. He had been executive vice president and chief financial officer of WestCal Mortgage Corp. Before that he had been senior vice president at RNG Mortgage Corp. and vice president/regional manager at Frontline Mortgage Corp.

Ms. Collins was promoted to vice president of retail operations, succeeding Myrna Olvera, who left to pursue other interests. She joined the bank in 1993 and held posts in audit services after being an assistant branch manager in Santa Monica.
