Santander Selling Stakes in Two Outfits

Banco Santander Brasil, the Brazilian unit of the Spanish banking company Banco Santander SA, said Monday that it will sell its stakes in a local credit card networking company, Visanet, and in the Serasa credit information bureau.

Santander said it will sell its stakes in both companies to Santusa Holdings SL, which is part of Grupo Santander in Spain.

It said it will register a gain of $1.16 billion in the third quarter as a result of the sale.
