S.C. Bank Switches to Fiserv Platform

Fiserv Inc. has announced that First National Bank of South Carolina has agreed to use its Precision processing platform as well as other services.

First National, a community bank in Holly Hill, S.C., said it is switching to the Brookfield, Wis., vendor after using an in-house system for 24 years.

"The regulatory scrutiny and risk associated with in-house processing became overwhelming for us," Ron Anderson, First National's president and chief executive, said in a press release Wednesday.

It has also agreed to use Fiserv products and services such as online banking, bill pay and account opening. "First National Bank will create a much better first impression with new customers" by using the account-opening system, Anderson said.
