Short Takes: E-Trade Seeks to Start 2 More Mutual Funds

E-Trade Group said it is awaiting regulatory approval to launch two additional mutual funds.

The Menlo Park, Calif., discount broker has filed registration statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the E-Trade Global Titans Index Fund and the E-Trade Premier Money Fund.

The Global Titans Index Fund would track the Dow Jones Global Titans Index, which comprises roughly 50 stocks of the world's largest companies. The E-Trade Premier Money Fund would seek to provide current income while offering liquidity and capital stability.
