NEW YORK -- Citigroup Inc.'s Smith Barney retail arm recruited two advisors from UBS AG to work in the Houston Galleria office in Texas.
The firm hired D. Scott Uptegraph Jr. and Bradley Miller on Friday. They had combined assets under management of about $310 million and a combined production of about $2.1 million.
They will report to branch manager John S. Hantak. The Houston Galleria office has 75 financial advisors who manage more than $6 billion in assets.
Both Uptegraph and Miller worked at UBS since 1998 and Merrill Lynch & Co. (MER) since 1990.
