Smith, Regulatory Lawyer and Former OTS Official, Switches Firms

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP announced last week that Dwight Smith, a former attorney with the now-closed Office of Thrift Supervision, was joined the firm's Washington office as a partner.

Smith, an OTS official during the savings and loan crisis in the late eighties and early nineties, was formerly the agency's deputy chief counsel for business transactions. He joins Nelson Mullins after practicing law at Morrison & Foerster LLP, and before that at Alston & Bird LLP.
