Southwest Bancorp Hires Ex-NBH Lenders for Colorado Market

Southwest Bancorp in Stillwater, Okla., has hired a group of former National Bank Holdings commercial lenders to lead its Colorado market.

The $2.1 billion-asset Southwest hired Matt Cassell, Joe Short and Jeff Jones to join its Bank SNB unit, according to a Monday news release. All three previously worked for the $4.8 billion-asset National Bank Holdings in Greenwood Village, Colo.

Cassell will be Colorado market president for Bank SNB. Cassell had been market president for NBH's Community Banks of Colorado since 2011. Cassell also previously worked at Vectra Bank, FirsTier Bank and Bank One, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Short and Jones also both previously worked at Community Banks of Colorado. Short has also previously worked for KeyCorp and Jones previously worked for U.S. Bancorp and Wells Fargo, according to their LinkedIn profiles.

Southwest entered the Colorado market in October when it acquired First Commercial Bancshares in Edmond, Okla., which owned branches in Colorado.
