State Street Global Advisors, the investment management arm of State Street Corp. of Boston, named Gregory Chrispin managing director of its business and operations in Canada.
Mr. Chrispin had been the chief investment officer of State Street Global Advisors' business in Canada. In his new job he succeeded Carl Bang, who is moving to Paris to lead State Street Global Advisors' business in France and Spain.
State Street Global Advisors is the largest institutional asset manager worldwide. In Canada it ranks as the fifth-largest institutional asset manager.
State Street Global Advisors also appointed Peter Lindley vice president and head of investments in Canada and Andrea Leeming vice president and head of human resources.
Mr. Lindley, who joined State Street Global Advisors in 2005, has 20 years of experience in the fixed-income and derivatives markets. He had been a senior portfolio manager on the fixed-income team, and previously he headed fixed-income trading at Desjardins Securities in Montreal and co-head of global markets for Deutsche Bank Canada.

State Street Global Advisors had $1.8 trillion of assets under management on March 31. It has investment centers in Hong Kong, London, Milan, Montreal, Munich, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, and Zurich and offices in 25 cities.
