Sun Bancorp (SNBC) in Mount Laurel, N.J., has hired three industry veterans to expand its commercial lending in New Jersey.
The $3.1 billion-asset bank has named Patrick Farrell a senior vice president and regional manager in charge of business lending, according to a company release. Steven Forleiter has been named senior vice president and senior relationship manager, and Brian Schoener vice president and relationship manager. All three executives have previously worked for rival banks such as TD Bank.
They will focus on Mercer, Somerset and Hunterdon counties in central New Jersey.
Currently Sun does business in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Before joining Sun, Farrell held several positions at TD Bank, including vice president of commercial, small business and retail lending in central New Jersey. Earlier in his career he was with Summit Bank and CoreStates Bank.
Forleiter was vice president and senior business development officer for Webster Business Credit Corp., and he previously worked on the commercial lending teams of TD Bank, PNC Bank and Trust Co. Bank of New Jersey.
Schoener, formerly a vice president and relationship manager in commercial lending at M&T Bank, also spent 15 years at TD Bank and one of its predecessors, Commerce Bank.
