The tech provider Talaris Ltd. has begun selling teller software that connects to cash automation machines.
Talaris, formerly De La Rue Cash Systems, said Monday that its CashInsight Assure software automates functions such as branch balancing, accounting and auditing. CashInsight Assure, the first in a series of products Talaris plans to announce, relies on a graphical interface instead of typed commands. The automation and interface are designed to make cash automation less complex, Talaris said.
"The minimal time between when we implemented CashInsight Assure and when our staff's productivity increased was a huge benefit for our bank," Richard Healey, the retail services manager at Fidelity Deposit and Discount Bank in Dunmore, Pa., said in a Talaris press release.
Healey highlighted the software's ability to provide "continuous visibility to cash levels and efficient start and end-of-day processing for tellers."
