Xerox Corp.'s business research group has hooked up with Cybercash Inc. and BankAmerica Corp. to begin selling reports over the Internet.
Xerox will accept on-line credit card payments for its Trend Identification Prophecy Surveys, which run the gamut of electronic commerce issues.
Xerox also issues surveys of other industries, including insurance, telecommunications, health care, and autos, and it is making them available through the World Wide Web.
"This means a customer can be working past midnight in Brussels and still get instant access to a wide range of trend identification and market planning data to add to a report," said Vincent Vaccarelli, director of the business research group.
Cybercash and Bank of America are working together to process transactions for all surveys purchased. Cybercash is supplying its "Cashregister" and "Wallet" software.
