J.P. Morgan & Co. has signed an agreement to outsource its human resources call center to Fiserv Inc.'s human resource information services division.

The negotiation makes Fiserv the first point of contact for Morgan's 16,500 active and retired employees with human resources-related inquiries.

Fiserv will field questions on benefits, policies and procedures, and queries on programs specific to the New York banking company. It will have authority to decide when certain inquiries should be transferred to J.P. Morgan's service center, Morgan Direct, in Delaware.
