MILWAUKEE - Fiserv Inc. has enlisted Nexus Software to support branch automation equipment in the Fiserv Account Sales and Teller system.
Under terms of the agreement, Nexus' flagship software product, WOSA Resource Manager, will be rigged to support a wide range of branch peripherals, including magnetic stripe readers, personal identification number pads, currency dispensers, automated teller machines, and receipt and passbook printers.
The Nexus software enables financial institutions to make the transition to Windows-based, open computer environments. The Raleigh, N.C.-based company's clients include Bank South Corp., Barclays Bank PLC, Chase Manhattan Corp., and First Interstate Bancorp.
The account serve and teller application ties the teller platform and back-room operations of a branch to a bank's core processing and central information files.
