The Disconnect Between Agencies and Examiners Is Notable

Thank you for your excellent article, "Fed-Up State Commissioners Urge More Flexibility and Judgment" [Feb. 10]. This story needed to be told, and you did a masterful job.

The disconnect between the federal agencies — or, more accurately, their senior representatives in Washington — and the state banking examiners is at the lowest ebb I've seen in my 30+ plus years of representing community banks.

(By the way, they don't make them any better than Joe Face.)
