The Proper Perspective

Bill Seidman had done so much prior to becoming FDIC Chairman — and as a result of his experience he kept everything in a broader life perspective.

He was serious and could play hardball, but he knew when not to sweat the small stuff. His leadership and trust in the people working for him was a big motivator, especially for those working in unchartered territory at the RTC.  He had a major league sense of humor and wit — and that added a fun component that helped the rest of us keep it all in proper perspective.Alice C.
