Three in public finance leave Fleet for NatWest.

Three key members of the public finance department at Fleet Securities Inc., including senior vice president Gregory N. LiCalzi, have left the firm to join NatWest Financial Markets Group.

The executives left several weeks ago, but Fleet has yet to name replacements, company officials said.

In addition to LiCalzi, Marilyn Whipple, associate vice president, and Lisa M. Anstatt, executive assistant, have joined NatWest.

In their new roles, LiCalzi holds the title of managing director, while Whipple is an analyst, and Anstatt is an administrative assistant.

John O'Brien, president of Fleet Securities Inc., said the departures occurred "six or eight weeks ago."

O'Brien said Fleet's public finance department still employs 20 people in various capacities. "When Greg left, that did leave an opening, and we will be exploring possibilities to find a replacement," he said.

In his new role, LiCalzi said he will manage a public finance effort focusing on New York State and local governments in the state. The move is part of an expansion of NatWest's public finance department, LiCalzi said.
