TIAA-CREF Hires Consultant Chief

TIAA-CREF announced Wednesday that it has hired Tony Cox to head consultant relations.

Cox was a senior vice president at Charles Schwab Corp. Before being hired by Schwab in 2007, he headed North American distribution for Invesco North America and co-founded Invesco's retirement division.

As head of pension consultant clients, Cox reports to Bertram Scott, an executive vice president and the chief institutional development and sales officer, and is based in TIAA-CREF's Atlanta office.

The New York-based company is a national financial services organization; it had more than $350 billion of combined assets under management at March 31.
