Top Community Bank IT Initiatives

Community banks across the country worked to manage the economic stress befalling their small business and retail customers in 2009, not to mention their own still tanking commercial real estate portfolios. Even with all this, many banks still found the wherewithal to get good IT projects done—from mobile banking and payment applications to remote deposit capture, and back-office projects like data management and server virtualization.

The March issue of Bank Technology News will showcase some of the most successful community bank IT projects of 2009, judged by ROI and success in meeting project goals and timelines.

Nominations are due not later than January 25, 2010. To be considered a community bank the institution must have less than $2 billion in assets. Nominations submitted by vendors on behalf of participating community bank customers are welcome.
