TrialPay Reaches 80 Million

An advertising company that offers Facebook Inc. credits to people who buy certain products said it has expanded its reach to more than 80 million users.

TrialPay Inc. of Mountain View, Calif., said that over the past year it has handled transactions in more than 180 countries. Since July it has added more than 400 international offers.

"Our transactional advertising platform unites targeted promotions before the transaction, a hosted cart with compelling cross-sells and discounts during the transaction and coupons post-transaction to monetize users at every stage of the purchase process," TrialPay Chief Executive Alex Rampell said in a Dec. 15 press release from his company.

The credits, which Facebook offers as a virtual currency system to buy intangible goods, are primarily used for online games. Target Corp. began selling Facebook Credit gift cards at its stores on Sept. 5.
