Trustmark Appoints New Chairman

Trustmark Corp. in Jackson, Miss., announced Tuesday that it has named board member Daniel Grafton as chairman of both the company and its main subsidiary, Trustmark Bank.

Grafton, a director at the bank since 2006 and the holding company since 2007, replaces Richard G. Hickson, who retired Tuesday after nine years as chairman. Hickson had also been chief executive of the company for 14 years until he retired from that position at the end of 2010.

A retired aerospace executive, Grafton is a former president of L3 Communications' Vertex Aerospace and former president and CEO of Raytheon Aerospace. Since joining Turstmark's board he has served on the company's human resources, nominating and strategic planning committees, and last year was named chairman of the company's executive committee.
