U.S. Bancorp in Minneapolis has named Mike Katz market president for the Puget Sound region in Washington.
Katz will succeed Chris Heman as market president, effective on Aug. 1. Katz will also become head of commercial banking for the region. Katz previously led a team of U.S. Bank commercial banking relationship managers in Denver.
U.S. Bank is the fourth-largest bank in the metropolitan Seattle-Tacoma, Wash., market with $8.8 billion in deposits, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. U.S. Bank has 91 offices and 1,300 employees in the region, according to the company.
Heman will relocate to Denver to care for aging parents, the company said in a news release. He has worked for U.S. Bank in Seattle since 2001.
