U.S. Trust Hires Morgan Official AsChiefExec of New Jersey Unit

Harry O'Mealia has joined U.S. Trust Company of New Jersey, Princeton, as president and chief executive.

He succeeds Ashton Harvey, who remains as chairman of the U.S. Trust Corp. unit.

Mr. O'Mealia was the New Jersey regional head of private banking at J.P. Morgan & Co., New York.

In addition, David J. Williams, David A. Tillson, Wendy S. Popowich, and Harvey A. Seline have been promoted to managing director in the personal investment division of the holding company's U.S. Trust Company of New York.

All four are four senior portfolio managers, and Ms. Popowich has been a senior vice president since February.

Ms. Popowich manages the Excelsior Global Competitors Fund, Mr. Tillson the Excelsior Equity Fund, and Mr. Williams the Excelsior Business and Industrial Restructuring Fund.
