Van Eck Global has announced the introduction of the Van Eck Multi-Manager Alternative Fund.
The portfolio is an open-end mutual fund designed to provide exposure to a variety of investment strategies, including absolute return strategies, the company said Tuesday.
Van Eck has managed a similar strategy for more than six years as an investment option for variable life and variable annuity insurance contracts. The new fund offers daily liquidity, no net worth restrictions, a high degree of transparency and daily net asset valuation.
It has a mix of subadvisers that include open- and closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds as its underlying investments.
